NBA Finals: Siakam and Haliburton Take Charge Right From Game 1

What a way to open the 2025 NBA Finals! In a dramatic and nerve-wracking game, the Indiana Pacers pulled off the perfect heist, edging the Oklahoma City Thunder 111–110 in Game 1 on the road.

OKC led for most of the night, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren dictating the rhythm. But Indiana never truly let the gap widen, thanks to a resilient effort led by their star duo: Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pacers stayed within striking distance throughout the game, and when the clock ticked down, it was Haliburton who rose to the moment. With just 15 seconds left, he drained a clutch basket that gave Indiana the lead for good.

OKC had one last possession to steal the win, but Indiana’s defense held strong, sealing a stunning road victory to take a 1-0 lead in the Finals.

Next up: Game 2 on Sunday, still in Oklahoma City. This series is just getting started.
